Re-Elect Vicki Snell for NMUSD 2020
This is a challenging time for our students and our country. As your trustee, I bring the experience needed to ensure effective learning environments, safe schools, social/emotional support, address equity, and continue to inform and listen to parents. I have extensive experience both in elementary and secondary, the ability to dedicate my energies full time, knowledge of school governance and finance, and a long-standing connection to my community. I am the best candidate to represent our students, families, and community.
Vicki Snell fights for the schools in her area. When inappropriately-sized baseball poles were built at Estancia, she met with neighbors, listened, and demanded their removal. Year after year, Estancia has delivered an excellent drama program but has outgrown its small theatre. She campaigned for Estancia to build the best theatre in the district. It soon will. Our area schools keep improving. As a math teacher, I’ve seen TeWinkle’s teachers and principal implement advanced math and tech programs like Project Lead the Way with talent and insight. Our area schools lead the district in leadership. We are becoming Area 1 in both name and reality.
Send her an email. Ms. Snell will respond. She doesn’t pull punches. Yes, mistakes happen, but addressing and fixing things is what she does. Vicki provides stable, reflective leadership and places students and schools first. She neither has an ego that needs lauding, nor self-aggrandizes. She works well with all people. Vote for Vicki Snell – the Smarter Choice.

Bob and I are huge supporters of Vicki Snell being re-elected to the NMUSD Board. For the past 20 years, from Adams School PTA to her current School Board position, she has given her time and talent to our parents, students and community. Vicki is very involved in her day to day board responsibilities and always makes herself available to listen to input from parents and students. We are thankful to have her commitment and expertise on the board during these uncertain times. We can’t think of a better person, candidate or friend to represent us on the NMUSD School Board.
Bob & Jennifer Knapp – President, Estancia TeWinkle Schools Foundation
During these trying times, we need to keep Vicki’s leadership on the NMUSD Board of Trustees.
Gordon Bowley – President, Costa Mesa United
I am endorsing Vicki Snell for the NMNUSD Trustee Area 1 position because of her experience and knowledge. Since her children were students at Adams Elementary, Vicki became involved and continued supporting the schools and students all the way through TeWinkle and Estancia. She has been part of the successful programs in district by being engaged with the leaders and staff at the feeder schools. Her efforts on the Board over the last two terms are based on understanding the issues facing the District and working towards solutions that can be implemented for the benefit of the students. Because of her ground up knowledge of the diversity and issues in our Trustee Area, Vicki Snell will continue to provide experienced guidance for the District.
William (Bill) Thorpe, Parent Leader/Volunteer
Vicki is an experienced, proven community leader who has been deeply involved in our schools over the years, even before she became a school board member. Vicki has been dedicate over the years to retaining families to Estancia Zone schools and a proponent of public education and the success of all students.
Vicki’s years of experience within NMUSD and the relationships built over the years make her a trusted source of information for parents while also being a respected NMUSD board member having a wealth of experience across all levels of education.
I trust Vicki has the best interest of all students in NMUSD in mind and is able to draw on her years of experience as a parent, volunteer, PTA leader and child advocate when having discussion and making decisions.
